The Peninsula New York

The Peninsula New York Review

I love New York City and I love Peninsula hotels, so I was very excited to spend a weekend in mid-November at the Peninsula New York with my mom. Here are five things I loved the most:

  • Its location in Midtown on the corner of Fifth Ave and 55th Street is ideal. You are just steps from world-class shopping, close to Radio City, Rockefeller Center, Central Park, and lots of fantastic restaurants.

  • The wellness facilities are truly five-star. The Spa is an urban oasis with beautiful zen-like design in soothing deep reds, ambers, and dark woods. The fitness center and indoor pool are both spacious and bright, with large windows and expansive city views.

  • Clement Restaurant, serving American cuisine, was excellent for breakfast and dinner. The Gotham Lounge is a cozy spot to enjoy evening cocktails or afternoon tea. Salon de Ning, the rooftop bar, is a great spot with a fashionable crowd and fantastic Fifth Avenue views.

  • Our Deluxe Suite, located in the corner, included lots of windows, great light, fresh flowers, a large bathroom with Oscar de la Renta toiletries, two large walk-in closets, and Fifth Avenue views. The suite was spacious, so comfortable and quiet, and family-friendly with a residential feel. Connecting rooms are available on request.

  • The Peninsula is very close to other popular NYC hotels, including the St. Regis, The Plaza Hotel, Four Seasons, and The Whitby Hotel. We enjoyed visiting these properties for lunch and evening cocktails in their beautiful bars.

The Peninsula as a great option in Midtown for shoppers, sightseers, and families. The fantastic PenClub benefits combine with frequent generous offers for exceptional added value. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this hotel to clients, and I would personally love to return for another stay.
