Four Seasons Punta Mita Review
We just returned from our second trip to Four Seasons Punta Mita… and it's definitely still one of our absolute favorite beach resorts. Here are some of the things we love the most:
The resort sits on an absolutely prime oceanfront location within the gated and secure 1,500-acre private community of Punta Mita.
The two beaches are gorgeous and swimmable. Cuevas is the favorite for families, and Manzanilla is more chill and adult-oriented with a beachside bar and the Salad Shack restaurant. We have been to FS Punta Mita in October and July and both times the ocean temps were in the 84-85 degree range… perfection for swimming and relaxing in the clear water.
The family-friendly Nuna pool is huge with jaw-dropping infinity-edge ocean views. The Lazy River pool is a super fun float through the lush and tropical landscaping. The Tamai pool is a secluded hideaway for adults only with luxury cabanas and a great poolside restaurant serving Asian bowls, fresh sushi and sashimi, and mucho tequila :)
Fantastic activities. Two golf courses with beautiful ocean views from many of the holes. Surfing lessons directly off of Manzanilla beach, snorkeling, paddleboarding, kayaks, and fishing. The RZR tour is awesome… You are the driver as the guides weave you through the jungle and into Sayulita where you have a chance to stop and explore the fishing village turned surf town before heading back to the resort. The floating fitness class in the Nuna pool is fun and challenging. There are daily tequila, mezcal, and chocolate tastings, and even an opportunity to blend your own tequila.
Kids For All Seasons is open every day and complimentary for kids between 5-12 years old. The Containers is a cool hang-out area for teens only with ping pong, air hockey, pool table, foosball, video games, virtual reality, and more. The game room directly below Dos Catrinas is a great place for kids to take a break from the sun to play ping pong, pool, or video games, and meet new friends.
The service across all parts of the resort is exceptional! Everyone is so friendly and kind.
Excellent dining options. Dos Catrinas serves authentic Mexican fare with a contemporary twist. Dos Catrinas Bar is perfect for live music, appetizers, cocktails, and stunning 180-degree views. Head to Armara for delicious Asian cuisine combined with the freshest local ingredients (don’t miss the Shrimp Kung Pao). Tail of the Whale is great for an apres golf lunch and cerveza. And our favorite, Bahia by Richard Sandoval, sits oceanfront and offers freshly grilled meats and seafood.
There are beautiful rooms, suites, villas, residences, and beach homes that can accommodate any size party… and many include their own private pools.
Four Seasons Punta Mita is a home run in our book, and it's perfect for families, couples, honeymoons, babymoons, multi-gen family vacations, and groups of friends traveling together. We absolutely love it and we can't wait to return again.
